Troubleshooting

Fix the most common issues with email and Telegram delivery.

  1. 1Check your spam or junk folder first. New newsletters from new domains often land there on the first few sends. Search for "debase" or "[email protected]".
  2. 2If it's in spam, mark it as Not Spam and move it to your inbox. This trains your email provider to trust future sends.
  3. 3Add our sender to your contacts: [email protected]. This whitelist step prevents future filtering.
  4. 4If it's not in spam either, confirm your subscription is active: visit brief.getdebase.app and sign in with your email to check your member status.
  5. 5Still nothing? Email us with your address and we'll check on our end.
⏱ Note: the brief sends at 7 AM. Allow until 7:15 AM before troubleshooting.

  1. 1Check spam for an email from [email protected] with subject "Confirm your subscription."
  2. 2If you can't find it, go to getdebase.app and try signing up again with the same email. Ghost will resend the confirmation.
  3. 3If that doesn't work, email us and we'll manually confirm your subscription.
  1. 1Scroll to the bottom of any brief email. There is an Unsubscribe link in the footer.
  2. 2Click it. You are removed immediately. No confirmation step, no winback email.

If you want to pause rather than unsubscribe, reply to any brief with "pause" and we'll hold your subscription until you're ready.

  1. 1Open Telegram on your phone or desktop.
  2. 2Search for @DebaseBriefBot or tap this link: t.me/DebaseBriefBot.
  3. 3Tap Start or send /start. The bot confirms your subscription and you'll receive briefs the next morning.
✓ Telegram delivery is free and separate from email. You can have both.
  1. 1Make sure you sent /start exactly. The bot only responds to known commands: /start, /pause, /resume, /help.
  2. 2If the bot still doesn't respond, it may be restarting. Try again in 5 minutes.
  3. 3If the bot is consistently unresponsive, email us and we'll investigate.
  1. 1Check if you previously sent /pause to the bot. Send /resume to restart delivery.
  2. 2Check Telegram notification settings on your device — the bot may be sending but notifications are muted.
  3. 3Try sending /start again to re-register. If you blocked and unblocked the bot, you'll need to /start again.
  1. 1Send /pause to @DebaseBriefBot to temporarily stop delivery. Send /resume to restart.
  2. 2To stop permanently, block the bot in Telegram. You can always unblock and send /start again later.
  1. 1Visit brief.getdebase.app and sign in with your current email.
  2. 2Go to Account Settings → update your email address.
  3. 3If you can't access your account, email us from your old address and we'll update it manually.
